Preparing Learners for the Future

At Westbourne School, education extends beyond the classroom. Alongside academic and vocational learning, we support each learner’s personal, social and emotional development, helping them to build the confidence, independence and skills they need for life beyond school.

We also recognise the importance of helping our learners understand the world around them and the role they can play within it. Sustainability forms part of this wider preparation for adulthood, encouraging pupils to make informed and responsible choices about their communities and environment.

Across the school, we are working to reduce our environmental impact through responsible use of resources, sustainable sourcing and initiatives that raise awareness of environmental issues.

Our aim is not only to prepare learners for their next steps, but to give them the knowledge, skills and confidence to contribute positively to their communities and their future.
