Update: a message to parents and carers

Due to the spread of Covid-19, the school has made the difficult decision to close the school site for pupils. As I’m sure you can imagine, this decision has not been taken lightly, but after an extensive risk assessment process, it has been viewed that the young people in our care are safer and less likely to contract and/or spread Coronavirus by staying at home and isolating, in line with the stricter Government guidance.

Although the physical site is closed, we continue to be a school and will provide educational activities for all our pupils. This will be a mixture of work packs and delivery through an online platform. More information around this will be provided as the platform is set up and is ready to use. We are also committed to continuing to ensure that all of our pupils are effectively safeguarded. With this in mind, we will be regularly checking in with you and will continue to offer support as normal.

This is of course an extremely challenging time for everyone and we will strive to return to normality as soon as we possibly can.
