Facilities and resources

Westbourne School is set in a spacious Victorian building which provides large working spaces for both academic and vocational learning. Each classroom is fitted out with distinct learning, ICT and calm areas to allow for a variety of learning experiences. All classrooms are based on the first floor and this is split between Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 learning areas.

To support the delivery of the traditional Key Stage 3 and 4 National Curriculums, we also have standalone Science, Art and Catering rooms which allows for high quality, practical learning.

The ground floor consists of a variety of purpose-built vocational units with high quality facilities and equipment which give pupils a sense of real working environments. There are also horticulture spaces on site and the school is close to a variety of large woods and country parks which provide opportunities for Outdoor Education and Duke of Edinburgh activities.

To support our educational facilities we also have a large Pastoral space, sensory room, library and 1:1 intervention spaces.
